The difference between master and sub pages January 29th, 2008
- posted in: Help
The divlets are very specific in the way in which they craft and build your designs, they have two tried and tested methods of building web pages handed down from divlet to divlet, master and sub pages. Here is how the divlets make distinction between the two:
MASTER PAGE:
This is your main design. This is how your website will look the whole site over. More often than not this will be the first page you designed, with a view that all subsequent pages will fit into that design.
SUB PAGES:
These look like the MASTER PAGE but with minor alterations. Here are a few common sub page characteristics:
- Changing the image in your header.
- Changing the text/pictures in your content area.
- Changing a few picture buttons on your site.
- Adding a form* on your contact page.
YoDiv EXAMPLE:
YoDiv has one master page and 9 sub pages. Our extra bolt-ons include a “sign up” and “contact form”, a wordpress framework for our “Tips and tricks section” and of course our YoDiv web application which is built in Ruby on Rails. If you have any questions regarding our site please drop us an email or give us a call.
*Divlets code forms onto your page from your form design, however the functionality contained within the form, ie: sending your client an email after they’ve filled in the form, is an extra service from YoDiv charged at a separate rate, please speak to us to find out more.
